i have
two enemies

but they
are not mine

their enmity
is not mutual

but i have earned
their hate

the things
that i have done

i did when i
was unsupervised

and i cannot undo
nor repair

however much time
elapses

i have
two enemies

but they
are not mine

to me
they are

no more
than strangers

i bear their hatred
like a scar

and i
know this

if i have
any enemy

in this world
it is me
